A little bit about me

As an up-and-coming product designer, I know that a great design is worth a thousand stories, and it's not just about the surface-level features and functions. My passion for design started at a young age when I would read under my covers with a flashlight, unknowingly ruining my eyesight for years to come. The power of storytelling stayed with me, and as I grew older, my love for it evolved into a passion for functional aesthetic design.

I realized that design could be used to solve everyday problems and create meaningful experiences, and my pursuit of this passion led me to pursue a degree in Global Business and Digital Arts at the University of Waterloo. Through this multidisciplinary program, I honed my skills in product design and learned to approach design challenges with a problem-solving mindset while keeping an eye on the bottom line.

My design formula has always been the same: infuse an idea with a generous amount of ingenuity, a touch of vibrancy, and a hint of levity, and even the simplest of solutions can come to life. Drawing from my skills in business and technology, I approach design challenges with a unique perspective, creating experiences that leave a lasting impact on users.

Experience

UX/UI Designer Internship • May 2022 - Aug 2022

"At LCBO|next, I collaborated on the development and launch of four major products, from inception to MVP. Through 15+ user interviews, I identified problem areas, project requirements, and conducted usability testing. Using Figma and design thinking, I created interactive prototypes, aiding the implementation of a web app that significantly reduced same-day pickup order fulfillment time. Additionally, I contributed to exploring the PEGA platform, established a cost-saving in-house training program, and played a key role in company-wide restructuring for onboarding/offboarding optimization.

Research Intern • May 2021 - Aug 2021

I created user-centric digital experiences through user research, wireframes, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. I used design thinking to deliver intuitive and engaging interfaces that met business goals and user needs.
